Water Feature Installation Winnipeg

Custom waterfalls, ponds and bubbling rock features for Winnipeg backyards: proper excavation, hidden plumbing, and a build that shuts down cleanly every winter. Built by hand, 3-year warranty, owner on every site.

Water Features Built for a Prairie Climate

Moving water changes how a backyard feels. It masks traffic and neighbour noise, it draws birds in, and it gives a patio or seating area something to sit around the way a fire feature does. On a full-property build it is often the detail that makes the space feel finished rather than just landscaped.
Manitoba makes it harder than most places. A feature built with an undersized basin, exposed plumbing or a poorly set liner will leak, lose water fast, and crack when the first hard freeze arrives. We excavate to depth, set the basin and liner properly, run and bury the plumbing, and build every feature so it can be drained and shut down cleanly before freeze-up and started again in spring.
We build pondless waterfalls, bubbling rock and urn features, and full ponds with waterfalls, and we place the stone by hand so the water reads as though it belongs there. Every build ties into the surrounding patio, planting and lighting, carries a 3-year workmanship warranty, and Tyler Abraham is on site at every project. No subcontractors. No shortcuts.

Why Winnipeg Homeowners Choose Genesis for Water Features

Built to Winterize

In Manitoba a water feature has to come down for the season. We build with a basin, plumbing layout and access that let the system be drained, the pump pulled and the feature shut down cleanly every fall, then started again in spring without damage.

Stone Placed by Hand

A waterfall lives or dies on how the rock is set. We place and shim every stone by hand so the water runs where it should, sounds the way you want it to, and looks like it was always part of the landscape instead of stacked on top of it.

Plumbing You Never See

Basins, liners, pump housings and lines are excavated in, buried and hidden under stone. Nothing visible, nothing to trip over, and everything positioned so the pump and valves stay accessible for service.

Workmanship Warranty

If a workmanship issue appears within 3 years, including leaks, liner failure or settling in the stonework, we return and fix it at no charge. Written into every project contract, not just a verbal promise.

Owner on Every Site

Tyler Abraham is not a project manager in an office. He is physically on site at every project, setting the levels, placing the stone and tuning the flow in real time. On a water feature, that final tuning is the whole difference.

No rushed timelines

We do not double-book crews or chase volume. Each project gets the full team's attention. If your timeline is unrealistic, Tyler will tell you and decline the work rather than compromise the result.

Water Features We Build

From a single bubbling boulder beside a patio to a full pond with a waterfall, every build uses commercial-grade liners, basins and pumps chosen to run reliably and shut down safely for a Manitoba winter.

Pondless Waterfalls and Bubbling Features

A pondless waterfall or bubbling rock gives you the sound and movement of water with no open pool of standing water. The reservoir sits underground beneath the stone, which means no algae to manage, nothing to net over, and a safer feature for families with young children and pets.

Ponds, Waterfalls and Streams

For clients who want the full effect, we build lined ponds with waterfalls and streams, sized and shaped to the yard and integrated with the patio, boulder work and planting beds. Filtration, circulation and access are planned in from the start rather than added afterward.

Not sure which water feature suits your yard?

During the consultation, Tyler will walk you through pondless versus pond, placement, sizing, sound level, maintenance and winterizing relative to your space and how you plan to use it. We bring samples to every site visit. You do not need to decide in advance.

How We Build Water Features in Winnipeg

Most homeowners researching a $50K to $100K outdoor project cannot find a contractor who answers all three questions: Are they real? Can I see their work? Will they stand behind it? Here is exactly how a Genesis water feature build runs, step by step.

Free Quote

You call or submit a form with your project scope and location. Tyler or a team member responds within one business day with questions and preliminary guidance. If it sounds like a fit, we move to a site visit.

Site Visit & Design

Tyler visits the site, assesses your grade, drainage, access, power supply and sight lines from the patio and the house. He takes precise measurements and photographs, and placement, scale, stone selection and how loud you want the water are discussed in person.

Proposal, Permitting, & Scheduling

A detailed line-item proposal covers all labour, materials, excavation, basin, liner, pump, plumbing and stone, with a layout plan included. Once approved, we confirm any municipal requirements, lock in a confirmed start date, and order materials.

Excavation, Basin & Plumbing

The most important phase. We excavate to depth, set and level the basin, install and seat the liner, position the pump housing for future access, and run and bury all plumbing and electrical lines before any stone is placed.

Stone, Tuning & Final Walkthrough

Stone and boulders are set and shimmed by hand, the feature is filled and the flow tuned until the water runs and sounds right. Tyler then walks the finished feature with you, explains the warranty, and shows you exactly how to winterize it and start it up in spring before the project is closed.

What Winnipeg Homeowners Say

Water Features Across Winnipeg and Surrounding Communities

Genesis serves Winnipeg homeowners city-wide and across the north-corridor suburbs. Below are the primary communities where we regularly design and build water features, for both residential and commercial properties.

Common Questions About Working With Genesis

A bubbling boulder or small pondless feature is the entry point, and a full pond with a waterfall and stream sits well above that. Pricing depends on size, how much excavation the site needs, stone selection and how the feature ties into the surrounding patio and planting. Most water features are quoted within a larger outdoor living project, and final pricing always requires an on-site visit.
The feature is drained, the pump is pulled and stored, and the system is shut down before freeze-up. We build every feature so this is straightforward, and we walk you through it at the final walkthrough.
A pondless waterfall needs very little, mainly topping up water and clearing leaves off the stone. A pond takes more, since you are managing filtration and water quality through the season.
A pondless waterfall or bubbling rock is the safer choice, because the reservoir sits underground and there is no open standing water. This is the main reason we recommend pondless for families.
Moving water does not give mosquitoes the still surface they need to breed. A properly circulating feature is not a mosquito problem, an untreated stagnant pond is.
