Breaks and slopes are shaped into the compacted base, not faked with infill afterward. That is the only way the green still putts the way it was designed in year five, and it is the step that separates a real green from a green carpet.
Short-pile putting surface, correct infill depth and a properly compacted base give you a roll that is consistent across the whole green. Seams are hidden, the perimeter is secured, and there are no soft spots to kill a putt halfway.
Manitoba ground moves. Base depth, compaction in lifts and a real drainage plan are what stop your contours from heaving out of shape and your seams from opening after the first hard winter.
If a workmanship issue appears within 3 years, including seam separation, edge lifting or settling that changes the surface, we return and fix it at no charge. Written into every project contract, not just a verbal promise.
Tyler Abraham is not a project manager in an office. He is physically on site at every project, shaping the contours, setting the cups and checking the roll before the job is called finished. On a putting green, that final check is the whole job.
We do not double-book crews or chase volume. Each project gets the full team's attention. If your timeline is unrealistic, Tyler will tell you and decline the work rather than compromise the result.
A short-pile putting turf laid for consistent roll, with cups set into the contours where they give you real putts rather than flat two-footers. A longer fringe turf frames the perimeter, gives you a chipping approach and creates the clean edge that makes the green look finished.
Excavation to depth, base material placed and compacted in lifts, and the breaks and slopes shaped into that base by hand. Drainage is designed in so water moves off the green instead of sitting under it, and the surrounding rock beds, patio and edging are built at the same time.
You call or submit a form with your project scope and location. Tyler or a team member responds within one business day with questions and preliminary guidance. If it sounds like a fit, we move to a site visit.
Tyler visits the site, assesses your grade, drainage, sun exposure and the space available. He takes precise measurements and photographs, and the shape, contours, cup count, fringe and how the green meets your patio are discussed in person with samples available.
A detailed line-item proposal covers all labour, materials, excavation, base, turf and cups, with a layout plan included. Once approved, we lock in a confirmed start date and order materials.
The most important phase. We strip the existing surface, excavate to depth, place and compact the base in lifts, set the drainage, and shape the breaks and slopes into the base by hand until the contours are exactly where the design put them.
The putting surface is laid, seamed and secured, infill is brushed in and set, cups are installed and the fringe is cut in around the perimeter. Tyler then rolls putts across the finished green with you, explains the warranty, and provides care guidance before the project is closed.
