Outdoor Kitchens Winnipeg

Custom outdoor kitchens and grill islands built for Winnipeg backyards: durable stone, weather-ready finishes, and a layout designed around how you actually cook and gather. Owner on every site, backed by a 3-year warranty.

Outdoor Kitchens Built for Winnipeg's Climate

A great outdoor kitchen is where your backyard becomes the room everyone gathers in: weekend grilling, drinks by the fire, family dinners under the open sky. But in Manitoba, an outdoor kitchen has to survive more than good weather. It faces frost heave, heavy snow load, and years of freeze and thaw. Built on a weak base or with the wrong materials, the counters crack, the stone shifts, and the whole build starts to fail within a few seasons.

At Genesis Interlocking, we have been building outdoor kitchens and hardscape structures in Winnipeg and the surrounding suburbs since 2014. Every kitchen starts with a proper base set for our climate, a structure engineered to carry real Manitoba snow load, and drainage planned so water never sits where it can do damage. The countertop you cook on is only as solid as the foundation built beneath it.

We build with durable stone and weather-ready materials from trusted partners like Barkman, Belgard, and Techo-Bloc, and we integrate your kitchen into the full outdoor living space so it flows with your patio, seating, and firepit. Every install carries a 3-year workmanship warranty, and Tyler Abraham is on site at every project. No subcontractors. No shortcuts.

Why Winnipeg Homeowners Choose Genesis for Outdoor Kitchens

Built on a Rock-Solid Base

An outdoor kitchen is only as good as the base under it. We set a proper compacted foundation with drainage planned for our climate, so your counters and stone stay level for years instead of shifting after the first hard winter.

Premium Stone and Materials

We build with durable hardscape materials from Barkman, Belgard, and Techo-Bloc, chosen to handle Manitoba weather. Real stone and manufacturer-backed products, not cheap veneers that crack and fade after a few seasons.

Built to Survive Manitoba Winters

Frost heave and freeze-thaw destroy poorly built outdoor kitchens. We build for real load, seal against moisture, and detail every connection so your kitchen holds up where lesser builds crack, settle, and come apart.

3-Year Workmanship Warranty

If any workmanship issue appears within 3 years, including settling, stone movement, or joint failure, we return and fix it at no charge. Written into every project contract, not just a verbal promise.

Owner on Every Site

Tyler Abraham is not a project manager in an office. He is physically on site at every project, overseeing the base, the stonework, and the finish details in real time. On a build this precise, that matters.

No rushed timelines

We do not double-book crews or chase volume. Each project gets the full team's attention. If your timeline is unrealistic, Tyler will tell you and decline the work rather than compromise the result.

Outdoor Kitchen Materials We Work With

We build with Barkman, Belgard, and Techo-Bloc masonry, paired with durable countertops and trusted built-in appliances. Every material is chosen to look premium and perform through Manitoba’s seasons.

Masonry & Stone Structure

The body of your outdoor kitchen is built from Barkman, Belgard, and Techo-Bloc masonry units and veneer, two of which are made for prairie conditions. Engineered for dimensional stability, consistent colour, and freeze-thaw performance, the structure is built to hold its finish for years.

Countertops, Grills, & Appliances

We finish your kitchen with weather-rated countertop surfaces and trusted built-in appliances, from grills and side burners to fridges and storage. Everything is specified for outdoor use and Manitoba winters, not indoor products pushed outside.

Not sure which materials are right for your project?

During the consultation, Tyler will walk you through material and appliance options relative to your design vision, site conditions, and investment level. We bring samples to every site visit. You do not need to decide in advance.

How We Build Outdoor Kitchens in Winnipeg

Most homeowners researching a $50K to $100K outdoor project cannot find a contractor who answers all three questions: Are they real? Can I see their work? Will they stand behind it? Here is exactly how a Genesis outdoor kitchen build runs, step by step.

Free Quote

You call or submit a form with your project scope and location. Tyler or a team member responds within one business day with questions and preliminary guidance. If it sounds like a fit, we move to a site visit.

Site Visit & Design

Tyler visits the site, assesses your space, existing grades, and access to gas, water, and power. He takes precise measurements and photographs, and layout, materials, and appliance options are discussed in person with samples available.

Proposal, Permitting, & Scheduling

A detailed line-item proposal covers all labour, materials, masonry, countertops, appliances, utility rough-ins, and any permit fees, with a layout plan included. Once approved, we handle required municipal and trade permits, lock in a confirmed start date, and order materials.

Base, Utilities, & Structure

The most important phase. We build a frost-resistant base, run any required gas, water, and electrical rough-ins, and construct the masonry body of your kitchen with weatherproof detailing tuned to Manitoba's freeze-thaw cycles.

Finishes, Appliances, & Final Walkthrough

Countertops, appliances, and finishes are installed and tested. Tyler then walks the completed kitchen with you, explains the warranty, and provides care guidance before the project is closed.
