We specify vinyl made with impact modifiers for cold climate use, and we name the product in your proposal. In a city that reaches minus thirty five, this is the single specification that matters most.
The material above ground changes. The engineering below it does not. Posts are bored below frost depth and set in concrete, exactly as they are on a cedar fence.
Composite panels are significantly heavier than wood. Post size, spacing and concrete volume are increased to match, rather than reusing a cedar fence spec and hoping.
We confirm the property line and the allowable height for your yard at the site visit. City of Winnipeg limits differ between front and rear yards, and getting it wrong means taking it down.
Tyler is on every project. The person who specified your panel and set your post depth is on site while the fence goes up.
Our warranty covers the build: post setting, framing, panel fitting, alignment and gate hardware. Panels carry their own manufacturer warranty, which we register and hand to you at closeout.
Vinyl gives you a crisp white or neutral fence that looks the same in year one and year fifteen. It is lighter to work with, faster to install and the least demanding material we offer. The only thing that matters is buying a grade rated for our winters.
Composite carries real grain texture and darker, richer colours that vinyl cannot reproduce. It handles impact better in deep cold and suits properties where the fence sits next to a composite deck and needs to match it.
You call or submit a form with your project scope and location. Tyler or a team member responds within one business day with questions and preliminary guidance. If it sounds like a fit, we move to a site visit.
Tyler walks the line with you, confirms the property boundary, checks grade changes and access, and reviews allowable height for your yard. Vinyl and composite samples are shown side by side so you can see both in daylight.
A detailed line-item proposal names the panel product, and covers labour, posts, hardware and gates with a layout showing the run and gate positions. Once approved, we lock in a confirmed start date and order materials.
Utility locates are called before anything is dug. Post positions are laid out to the panel dimensions, holes bored below frost depth, and posts set plumb in concrete and checked against a strung line end to end.
Panels are fitted and locked in, gates hung and adjusted to swing true, and offcuts and spoil cleared off site. Tyler walks the finished fence with you, registers the manufacturer warranty and explains how to clean it.
